Martial Arts Experience - Training and Rank

•    First trained in Judo, Concord, California in 1970, and Aikido in 1994.
•    Began training Yoshukai Karate and Kobudo and Sanuces Ryu Jujutsu in 1994, and Judo in 1975.
•    Promoted to Godan in Sanuces Ryu Jujutsu in 2008, Rokudan in 2012 and Shichidan in 2017.
•    Promoted to Yondan in Yoshukai Karate and Kobudo in 2007.
•    Promoted in Judo to Shodan in 2014, and Nidan in 2017.
•    Promoted in Aikido to Shodan in 2020
•    Began training in 2002 Promoted to Nidan in the U.S. Federation of Batto Do in 2007.
•    Promoted to Nidan in Toyama Ryu in June 2011
•    I have been training in Martial Arts an average of six days a week since 1994, including classes in the local Dojo, attendance at 158 Hombu trainings and 60 kata clinics in Yoshukai karate, attended 17 summer Karate camps (Natsu Keiko), and over 100 seminars trainings in Jujutsu, Judo, Ninjutsu, Karate, and Aikido.
•    Awarded Cosmopolitans Florida Hall of Fame Instructor of the Year in 2007.

Martial Arts Experience - Competition and Judging
•    Frequent Judge at National Martial Art Tournaments, including three times at the U.S. Open.
•    Helped to organize the Annual Bamboo Dojo Invitational Karate Tournament from 1994 to 2019.
•    Helped with Mr. Smyth Goju Ryu Annual Invitational Karate Tournament since 2000.
•    Competed in International Batto Jutsu Tai Kai Tournaments in Orlando, Florida, in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 , 2010 and 2011. Finished in 4th place in 2006 and 2007 3rd place in 2009.
•    Assisted in IAKSA World Kickboxing Championships in Kissimmee, Florida, in 2003.

Martial Arts Experience - Demonstrations
•    Helped to organize and participated in a Martial Arts performance and demonstration at the Center for the Arts in Vero Beach, Florida, in 2000, in conjunction with their Japanese exhibit.
•    Performed three times in Batto Jutsu and Jujutsu at the Morikami Japanese Museum in Delray Beach, Florida in 2005, 2006, and 2007. 

Martial Arts Experience - Teaching
•    Instructor in Martial Arts at the Bamboo Dojo from1997 to 2013.
•    Director of the Jujutsu program at the Bamboo Dojo since 2006.
•    Helped in clinics at summer camp in Canada, and Miami trained SF and Seals
•    Assistant Instructor for Yoshukai Karate clinics in Dortmund, Germany in 2001 and 2007.
•    Yoshukai cross training (Jujutsu seminar) 2009 -2010 – 2011
